Playing Away - Neville Gable’s Photography Project On Goalposts From All Over The World
As part of the TateShots Collection, Neville Gable has been taking photos of perhaps the simplest, most universal ‘frame’ to be found across the globe. With the design and architecture having an enriched relation to environments, the variety of goalposts produces an ideational definition between the beautiful game and its cultural surroundings. This collection displays the diverse forms of innovation football can inspire. And aren’t the moments of “wow, I would never have thought of making a goalpost like that” made undeniably clear?
This is such a great idea.
